Welcome to CalorIA Scan. By downloading, installing, or using the application, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any of these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico.
1. Description of the Service
CalorIA Scan is a mobile application developed by Rumbo Tech Labs that uses artificial intelligence to estimate the caloric and nutritional content of foods from photographs taken by the user.
2. Disclaimer — AI Accuracy
- CalorIA Scan is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional nutritional advice.
- Do not make health, medical, or dietary decisions based solely on the App's results.
- Consult a physician, nutritionist, or registered dietitian for specific health needs.
- Rumbo Tech Labs is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of the App's nutritional estimates.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use CalorIA Scan only for lawful and personal purposes. The following is prohibited:
- Uploading images containing inappropriate, illegal, or offensive content.
- Attempting to circumvent usage restrictions (e.g., manipulating the free scan limit).
- Using the App for commercial activities without written authorization from Rumbo Tech Labs.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App.
- Accessing backend systems in an unauthorized manner.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Includes a limited number of analyses per month at no cost.
The Basic and Pro plans offer a greater number of monthly analyses through a subscription. Prices are displayed in the App in the local currency and include applicable taxes.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before expiration.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings in Google Play or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play and App Store policies. Rumbo Tech Labs does not process refunds directly.
5. User Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities conducted through it. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at: rumbotechlabs@gmail.com
Rumbo Tech Labs reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice and without right to a refund.
6. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account from within the App at Profile → Delete my account. This action erases all your personal data from our servers within a maximum of 30 days and is irreversible.
7. Intellectual Property
CalorIA Scan, its name, logo, design, and content are the property of Rumbo Tech Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction or use without written authorization is prohibited.
The photographs you upload remain your property. By using them in the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process them solely for the purpose of generating the nutritional analysis.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rumbo Tech Labs shall not be liable for:
- Damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated nutritional estimates.
- Service interruptions due to maintenance or force majeure events.
- Data loss caused by the user's device failures.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee 100% availability. We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified within the App. Continued use of the App after notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mexico.
