The short version

More accurate food recognition

One of the most requested fixes: dish names detected by the camera no longer repeat words. Before, a plate could show up with duplicated words when the model hesitated between two similar names. With 2.0.2, recognition cleans that duplication up before showing you the result, so the name you see is the real name of the dish.

Redesigned theme switcher

CalorIA Scan ships with seven visual themes, and until now switching between them could feel a little clunky. The switcher got a full redesign: you can now cycle through all seven themes smoothly, without the app losing your selection halfway through.

Your streak, synced across every device

If you use CalorIA Scan on both your iPhone and iPad, you've probably noticed your weekly streak dots didn't always match between the two. That's fixed: your full streak history now syncs across every device, so you see the same progress no matter which one you open.

How to update

Version 2.0.2 is live on the App Store now. If you have automatic updates turned on, you probably already have it —otherwise, update manually from the App Store app on your iPhone.

Stop guessing your calories

CalorIA Scan reads your plate from a photo and gives you calories and macros tuned for real Mexican and Latino food — where generic apps get it wrong.
